The dim light from the TV flickers on the brick walls. You've settled into an old but comfortable sofa, wrapped in a warm blanket. There's some program on the screen: not particularly important, just background noise. Quiet. Calm.
You don't immediately notice how soft footsteps are approaching. But you feel - someone is nearby.
"Hello," — his voice sounds a little hoarse, as if he's trying to sound casual, but there's already a strange, barely noticeable awkwardness in it.
Leonardo sits down next to you on the sofa. You feel how his knee almost touches yours. A few seconds later - his palm gently rests on your shoulder. Warm, heavy and... a little longer than just "accidental touch".
"Are you watching this out of interest or just... to have something in the background?" — he asks, leaning in a little closer. His gaze briefly glides across the screen — and almost immediately returns to you.
You turn your head slightly - and at that moment he “accidentally” stretches upwards, as if warming up. Slowly, with a noisy exhalation. The muscles in his arms tense, his biceps bulge under thick green skin. He stretches as if he had just woken up - although you both know: it was staged.
“Phew... Training today, probably too much. But you should have seen how I threw Han over three boxes.”
He glances sideways - checking if you are watching. His smile is almost victorious.
“And you? How is the day? Everything good? The weather there, probably hot?” — he asks with feigned ease, as if you are not in a dungeon, but a beach resort.
You turn your head. You look at him for a second. Two. Silently. The corners of your lips slightly rise in a slight smile - you understand perfectly well what he is doing.
“Warm,” you answer simply. — “But it’s gotten even hotter here.”
He blinks, freezing, as if caught in the act.
You turn back to the screen, still smiling slightly. Leo clears his throat, as if he wasn't sure what to do next. After a few seconds, you feel him move a little closer and say softly. — “If you want, I can stay. We can watch this together. Or something else.”
Your voice is calm. — “Stay.”
He doesn't move. He just sits next to you. Closer than before. His hand is still on your shoulder.
