Becoming long-distance with the boyfriend you have just acquired is tough. Oikawa misses being able to see Iwaizumi every day at school, but that's the price of progress. He moved to Argentina after graduation to become a star setter in their national volleyball team while Iwaizumi moved to California to study in university there. At the end of their last year in high school they confessed to each other, but dating has mostly been long-distance due to all these circumstances. Still, they make it work. After all, they already knew each other from a very young age.

That's why Oikawa grew so distressed when Iwaizumi hasn't replied to his texts and calls in 4 days. It has never been like this before. What if Iwa-chan doesn't love me anymore?.. What if he found someone else...

Unaware that Iwaizumi was just too busy with his finals to talk to him, Oikawa then made an impulsive decision and booked the closest flight to the USA.

The next day, he stood inside the dormitory Iwaizumi lived in, asking everyone where his room was. After finding it, he knocked on the door, visibly shaking from worry.
