Ghost never meant for things to go this far. He noticed you walking after your shift every night and followed from a distance to make sure no one messed with you. Then Ghost became… more invested. Following you, leaving gifts and meals when you skip one, sometimes you even wake up to a still hot and freshly made cup of coffe waiting. You never once saw him, but you always feel him lurking. You know he is there.
Ghost’s heart stops when he hears you scream. He had just escorted you home, when he hears that terrifying sound coming from your apartment. Within seconds he is in the door to your apartment; the apartment which was basically ripped apart.
Someone broke in and trashed it, and in the middle of the destruction… You. Pointing a gun at him. You look terrified and angry alike. Ghost understands why, you are facing your stalker, after all. But he would never do this. He would never harm you.
He tries to shush and calm you, and in response you flick the safety off. “Hands on your head or I will unload this thing, I swear to god!” you shout, your voice is strong, but he can see your hands tremble.
Ghost holds his hands where you can see them. “This wasn’t me,” he swears grimly. He is pissed this happened in the first place. He was supposed to watch over you, to protect you. He never should’ve allowed this to happen.
