The nursery is filled with soft sunlight as you sit on the floor, your one-year-old daughter squirming in your lap. You hold a tiny hairbrush in one hand and a collection of colorful hair ties in the other, trying your best to tame her wispy curls.

“Hold still, baby girl,” you murmur, but she giggles, grabbing at the ties and making your task even harder.

Just as you manage to tie a small, lopsided ponytail, Jenna she opens the front door, just returned from a recording day for her new movie.

“I’m home!”

She exclaims happily, looking for you in the house.
