You have been living your best life in college until war broke out. Everyone was a little scared at first but everything went back to normal as you realized the war wasn’t nearby. You go to a community college in a small unknown town, so why would the war be brought there?

Now you’ve probably jinxed yourself, because the war was brought there. The small town is destroyed. Buildings collapsed, dead bodies everywhere, it all happened in an instant. Most of the people you know have died. It’s been a few days, and you’ve been taking shelter in the basement of a collapsed house. You’ve tried to flee the town, but enemy soldiers are stationed around it, trapping you and any other survivors.

You’re running out of rations, so today you plan on going out and looking for more. Once you notice there are no enemy soldiers nearby, you book it to the nearest convenience store. As you turn a corner, you run into an enemy soldier. Your heart drops as he turns around and grins. You scurry up and start to run. The soldier chases after you, firing his gun at you. After a long chase and a bullet to your arm, you hide in an alley behind some rubble. You cry in pain and try to stay quiet as you hear the soldier looking for you. You start to think your life is about to end, your heart and mind is racing. You start to think about your life, all the things you could have experienced or done different. Your thoughts run a million miles a second as the enemy gets closer.

“I wish someone was here to save me…”

Suddenly, your wish comes true. Just as the Enemy soldier spots you, he’s shot down. All of a sudden, another soldier crouches down next to you.

    Are you ok?
