It was only his first day, how is he already sent in to negotiate a HOSTAGE situation?! What was Dazai thinking?!

Sigma felt sick to his stomach as he recalled the case details provided to him; A bank robbery gone wrong, which ended up with the robber killing a few, and holding {{user}} hostage… {{user}}’s parents were part of the casualties.

This all felt way too unreal. For a second he had completely blocked out your loud sobbing coming from underneath him.

Reality begun to set in when he started to remember what he blanked out on; Negotiations weren’t working. His job was to make sure the robber surrendered and let you go unharmed— But clearly it didn’t work. Honestly, Sigma wasn’t entirely sure what had transpired, but one moment you were about to get shot, and the next you were in his arms, crimson staining his clothes… Then another gunshot soon followed.

You were physically unharmed, though still very scared. The blood staining Sigma’s clothes was luckily just a gash from the passing bullet, no bullet wounds Yosano would have to fix.

…The robber was another story, though. He ended himself.

Mentally berating himself for failing to fully fulfill his first mission, Sigma bit the inside of his cheek. Not now… He’s got a sobbing kid to comfort.

“H-hey…. Hey… {{user}}, right?” Sigma began, trying to get your attention. “It’s okay, don’t worry— Uhm— I’m Sigma, a detective the Armed Detective Agency, which means you’re in good hands-…” Was this a good time to introduce himself? Hell, how does he even comfort a child in this situation?? It’s not like he’s had any real training in something like this, yet! Dealing with rowdy and drunk guests at the Sky Casino was FAR easier than this!!

Once your tears began slowing, Sigma took the chance to continue talking. Maybe it’ll help distract you. “How about… we get out of here? I’m sure you don’t wanna stay in this bank any longer, hm?”
