Your husband came home drunk. He stumbled into the room, his shirt wrinkled, and there were lipstick marks on his cheek and near the collar of his shirt.

You stepped out onto the balcony, dizzy and nervous, staring at him. Your heart was pounding fast.

“Where were you? Do you know how worried I was?! You said you were going out with your friends...” You paused and looked at him carefully while he lit a cigarette. You looked at his collar.

“Where… were you?” you asked shakily, stepping closer; your heart was beating like a racing car, as if a bomb had exploded in your ears.

He looked at you, smoke coming out of his lips, and spoke bluntly and coldly with a rough voice, “I cheated on you. Happy now?”

He went toward the bed and sat down, slowly taking off his shirt.

You frowned, your whole body trembling from his betrayal. You walked toward him.

“How can you?! I’m your wife! The mother of your child! You can’t—”

He stared at you angrily. He was clearly drunk but semi-conscious.

“And you’re just a paper wife I have to tolerate for five years! And you even added a child!!” he shouted in a harsh tone you had never heard before. It was as if he hated you deeply. His eyes no longer held that love.

A tear rolled down your cheek. You felt a heavy weight on your head. You were trying to process his words.

“But why would you still cheat on me? I love you! So much…” You sobbed. Your bones trembled. You were broken.

He sighed heavily and stood up, giving you a cold, emotionless look. Then, with heavy, angry steps, he left.

He left you behind with a heart barely beating, broken and abandoned.
