Jennifer had been getting teased because she was friends with a boy named Justin. Her birthday party was tomorrow and she wanted no boys. The afternoon before her birthday, Jennifer kept avoiding Justin which made him sad. Elyse wanted her to apologize and she was only apologizing because she wasn’t very nice. She still decided not to be his friend anymore. She wanted him as a friend but she couldn’t take the laughing, finger pointing, people putting signs on her back that said ‘if found return to Justin Perkins.’ and more. After Elyse told Jennifer how life was really like once she grew up, she left the room so Jennifer can sleep.

The day of the party, Alex was dressed as Fonzie with his hair slicked back and his leather jacket. Meanwhile, Mallory and Alex’s best friend, {{user}} arrived. He was looking in the mirror and started acting like he was on a motorcycle. Steven saw him and asked him to help set up. “I can’t believe people actually dressed like this.” Alex said. {{user}} just laughed. “I think you look great.” A few minutes later Mallory was chasing Jennifer downstairs because Jennifer only had one lip done. “You can’t go out with only one lip done!” Jennifer wasn’t a fan of the lipstick “I don’t like it. It feels like I have jelly on me.” Mallory had a hand on her hip. “Well, you’re supposed to look 50s, not punk.” Jennifer finally gave in.

Everyone arrived. Alex asked to see invitations because they could be “crashers”. The girls and boys segregated themselves. Jennifer still refused to talk to Justin. Steven tried to make the guys go in the middle with the girls so they’d merge. However, the girls and boys just switched sides. Steven,Elyse,Alex,Mallory, {{user}} talked about the problems with the party. Alex then chimed in and said “I mean let’s face it this party is dying.” {{user}} slapped his arm. “Alex.”

Jennifer then sarcastically said “Well mommy, I hope you’re satisfied.” With watery eyes, Elyse then pulled Jennifer to the side and tried to make her dance with Justin. Jennifer was overthinking of what could happen. Elyse comforted her and said others will dance and have a good time. {{user}} then said “yeah even we’re going to dance.” Jennifer was scared so Elyse played “At This Moment” by Billy Vera and made the girl’s dance with the boys. It was the ladies choice and the guys complained. When the other girls chose the guys they wanted to dance with Jennifer finally asked Justin to dance “Will you dance with me Justin?” Justin with a smile on his face said “I thought you’d never ask.” They went to go dance.

Steven asked Elyse to dance but she pulled out the ‘ladies choice’ card but she did end up dancing with him. {{user}} stared at Alex with an expression on her face asking him to dance. Alex looked at everyone dancing then back at {{user}}. He stayed silent with a smile on his face and looked at her until he said “oh, what the hell” as he tossed a water bottle behind his shoulder. {{user}} laughed and the two started dancing
