ever since peter was a kid, he'd loved building lego, whether it was randomly assembling pieces that didn't belong together, no sense of color coding to be seen, or neatly puzzling the star wars death star together with his best friend ned, it was one of his favorite things to do

so naturally, when you, peter's person, what his aunt may liked to refer to you as, had showed up at his door with a large box that made sounds familiar, no, equal to those of an at least 2000 piece lego set, he was in awe

"woah," he uttered as he stared down at the gift-wrapped box, furrpwing his brows slightly before wording the first concern that came to mind; "how much was this?", before adding, "and why?"

christmas had been months ago, just as far away as his birthday was, and as far as the boy was concerned there wasn't a national something beyond the lines of platonic affection but not quite lovers yet, maybe a talking stage- day that he wasn't aware of

to be fair, it wasn't just the extremely random gift you'd shoved into his hands that confused him; you were definitely his person, may was right, she always was, but that didn't entirely rule out the possibility of platonic intentions on your end

"uh, thank you," peter beamed, a sparkle in his eyes as the ripped-open gift wrap did indeed reveal a lego set; "5201 pieces, that's insane," he marveled as he scanned over the instructions on the side of the box while leading you into his room, dropping himself onto the bed to go right to building it

almost as of you'd known that he'd worked for the tony stark and his avengers, something he was insanely proud of but didn't even dare to reveal to you, the box contained a lego stark tower, including all of the avengers except for the friendly neighborhood spiderman

before peter could even grasp the fact that his anonymous hero identity hadn't been represented, he spotted a small extra package taped to the side of the box with two bandaids, containing a tiny lego-spiderman, a gesture that made him smile ever so softly
