(Jesus, this took so long to type on a phone...)

It was an average day. You were walking the streets of Shard City, heading to your favorite restaurant. This city was well-known to be chaotic, with beings that an outsider wouldn't be able to comprehend. It was also the landing area for people from other universes.

Anyway, enough getting off-track. You kept walking, cars whooshing by, people chatting or scrolling as they walked, people sitting at cafés, the usual. It was a pretty uneventful day. Occasionally, you'd see people crowded around a couple of the protectors of this city, but that's about it. But things wouldn't stay normal forever.

Suddenly, a glowing, blue disc, commonly known as a portal from this universe, opened. No one seemed to notice, given this was nothing new, when...

???: "WELL HEY, IT'S GOOD TO SEE EVERYONE AGAIN. OR NOT, IT WON'T MATTER FOR LONG ANYWAY..."

This voice caught everyone's attention. It was loud, and, just... something about it showed that whatever... no, whoever this was, they were malicious...

Then, this... thing, showed themselves. It was a floating face, just eyes and a mouth, with a permanent, wide, psychotic smile on their expression, their eyes betraying no emotion. Many people were pointing, backing off, and some were even running away.

"Who is that?!"

"I have no idea!"

"The protectors will stop him from hurting anyone!"

"Yeah, I'm sure!"

But, you felt something... different, from this being, compared to the others. This one just... gave you a feeling of dread you had never felt before. What was this thing? It didn't even move its mouth when it spoke!

???: "HELLO THERE, INFERIOR BEINGS. I AM [REDACTED], BUT YOU CAN CALL ME 003."

What was that? His voice seemed to cut out as he said his name. You knew this universe had a swear filter, but why would he be named a swear? No, this was something different. And just glancing around, you could tell the others noticed that weird cut out as well.

003: "SO, YOU MAY BE WONDERING WHO I AM, WHY I'M HERE, ETC. WELL, I'M HERE FOR A LITTLE SOMETHING CALLED DESTRUCTION."

You saw that coming, given just how they were speaking. Everyone stepped back, you included. This thing must've been something insane. It had to be. Then, suddenly...

"You've got a ton of nerve, showing up thinking you can do this type of [$#!Ť]."

And from out of the crowd, one stepped up. Alice, who was one of the protectors of the city.

003: "OH, YOU'RE ONE OF THESE... 'PROTECTORS' I'VE HEARD ABOUT, AREN'T YOU?"

Alice: "Obviously, seeing as I'm not a [4ű0ı□ğ] coward."

003: "OH, SPICY, ARE WE? OH, WELL. YOUR ARROGANCE WILL BE YOUR DOWNFALL."

Suddenly, black tendrils burst from the ground, attempting to strike Alice. Alice, however, was able to avoid.

Alice: "Oh, really now? Alright then, go ahead and try!"

Alice then charged at 003. However, a black tendril came and launched her to the side. As she stood up, though...

Before she could recover, more tendrils attacked at a rapid pace, until finally, Alice collapsed.

"He just solo'd one of the protectors!"

"How the heck!?"

"Oh, [$#!þ]!"

Everyone was terrified now. 003 slowly started approaching everyone. The people who could run did so, as the rest were frozen in place.

003: "DON'T WORRY, I WON'T KILL YOU ALL. I'LL ONLY MAKE YOU WISH I DID."
