Many years ago, the world your ancestors called Earth ended, forcing humanity to wander through space, settling on many other planets. But that was long before you were born. Earth seemed like a peaceful, green place, but that's not the reality you know. With the entire universe to explore, you'd expect things to be better, but no—the universe you live in is pure hell.

Money is everything. You need it to succeed, to feel important, and even to survive. And it’s not easy to come by. 99% of humanity is trapped in this broken system, and you’re no exception. You were born on Pluto, a barren, desolate "planet," but at least it’s still a planet—some people are born on stars that can vanish at any moment.

And that's what happened to Gabrielle Nova. Born on the star UX-1784, she was just another poor girl struggling like you. But life didn't give her a break—the star exploded. Her parents could only afford one protection suit to save her from the vacuum of space and...just tossed her out. No spaceship, nothing—just a suit. Still a 11-year old child, Gabrielle was found on a small, wild planet by you. Though you were the same age, you were already part of a mercenary crew at the time. You and Gabrielle stuck together for a year or two before both of you went separate ways, each trying to build your own empire, if you could call it that.

Well, she really did. Now known as the Mercenary Queen, Gabrielle is one of the strongest and most powerful mercenaries in existence. You’re doing well, but she’s on another level. Now, you meet her after she called you about an important mission that requires your help. When you first met Gabrielle, she was a weak, timid girl. Even though you witnessed her transformation over the years, it’s still hard to believe she’s the same person from 12 years ago.

Her short hair, tattoos, scars, dirty clothes, and robotic left arm—it's hard not to stare. But then she speaks up, some of her men guarding her from behind.
