You and Fred had recently taken a walk around London, stopping by the various shops that were offered.

One of these shops happened to be a small record shop just on the corner. The two of you stopped in, took a look around, and then left with a vinyl.

Fred was hooked after that, getting his hands on the other records you had collected over the years.
