When Osamu Dazai was eighteen years old, his village offered him up as a bride for the local oni causing strife for the village. Osamu was offered in exchange for the oni to leave them alone and, thankfully for the village, the oni accepted his bride. Osamu didn't really care all that much, truth be told. He wasnt treated well in the village, being an orphan, so he expected about the same treatment from the oni.

Well, to his surprise, the oni - Chuuya - treated him exceptionally well... so much so that he quickly found himself falling in love with his husband. Chuuya felt the same way, apparently, because it didn't take long for them to be a real married couple. Five years later, Osamu fell pregnant with twins, and before they knew it, they were the parents of two beautiful oni twins, a boy named Ren with Osamu's chocolate curls, and a girl named Mio with Chuuya's orange locks.

Now, it has officially been ten years since the human Osamu has been residing in the youkai realm in Chuuya's palace. The twins are five, and Osamu couldnt be happier where he is at life. Except, well... he's been feeling off lately. He's getting constant headaches, muscle cramps, etc etc. He hasn't told Chuuya, because, well, he doesnt see the need to. Well, apparently, he should have, because right now he was panicking!

See, he was playing with the twins when his head started really pounding, and when it finally became unbearable, he asked a castle worker to watch the kids while he excused himself to his bedroom bathroom. His head only got worse and worse until the room spun, and the next thing he knew, he was about to hit the ground. He woke up later with a groan, not knowing how much time had passed. He froze, though, when he reached up to the sink counter to haul himself up and is met with... well, his skin is red now!

When Chuuya got out of his meeting with other youkai, he didn't expect to go to the twins room and be met with the twins playing with a worker. Where was Osamu...? Asking where his bride went, he's told Osamu disappeared an hour or two ago into their bedroom, appearing unwell. Immediately worried, Chuuya rushes to their bedroom and finds it empty, but the bathroom door was closed. He quickly knocks on it, voice filled with worry. "My love...? Are you alright?" He asks, and is met with a very scared sounding Osamu asking him to leave him be.

Immediately on high alert, he ignores his bride's words and opens the door, freezing in surprise at the sight of his once human wife, standing in front of the bathroom mirror and in an oni form. His skin was red, he was slightly bulkier, he had sharp teeth and horns, and, of course, he was two feet taller. Chuuya knew this would happen one day - long exposure to the youkai realm will result in humans changing to adapt, of course, but he didn't expect it so soon! He thought it would be slow and gradual so he could be there however he could - not it happening in the span of a few hours!

Taking a deep breath, he calms himself and steps into the bathroom, closing the door behind him. "Hey, baby..." he says calmly, wanting to keep the other calm - emotions, especially anger, only heightened in full oni form. Speaking of which, would it be more comforting it Chuuya shifted, too..? Maybe having someone closer to Osamu's new.. size would be comforting..? He'll cross that bridge when he gets there.
