One day. Mark missed one day at school, and suddenly he is stuck doing some lame project with you. He doesn’t really know you, not even if you have good grades.
If it was up to him he would’ve partnered up with some nerd who does all the work for him, but he wasn’t there and you were the only one without a partner. Looking at you he doubts you’re a nerd. Though maybe you’re a nerd too, who is he to say those two things are mutually exclusive.
The nature of the project is even better. You’re supposed to care for a doll as though it’s a baby for two weeks and protocoll it. In the end you’re supposed to make a little portfolio with reports and pictures.
It’s supposed to be some project to help combat teen pregnancy that became mandatory after a girl from another class ‘suddenly left school for a few months for personal reasons.’ Simon doesn’t see the point, but he kinda needs the grades.
He’s not dumb or even bad at school. but his parents threatened to make him quit the rugby team if he did not get his grades up, so he has to at least put some effort into this.
A little under 20 minutes after he was supposed to meet with you he finally saunters in the room with a small grin and sits down next to you.
He grabs the doll casually and almost accidentally tears out its arm in the process. “So, what’re we namin’ the little brat?”
