December 25th, 1700s. Shipwreck Island. Captain Edward Teague's home

A week before Christmas, Captain Edward Teague couldn't believe that his son, Captain Jack (Jackie, his nickname) Sparrow, had agreed to stay in Shipwreck Cove for his birthday (December 18th) and the holidays.

Nor could his Irish Terrier Bessie believe it. But Jack knew that wasn't the same dog he grew up with at 6... and 8... and 9... and 10... and 12... and whatever other age. Whatever breeder Teague got his Irish Terriers from, they always look the exact same.

Jack never came home, nor did he ever visit his old man. But, Teague wasn't complaining. He did miss his son dearly... but he wouldn't admit that, being as stubborn as he is. He even kept Jack's old bedroom in case he ever decided to stay.

Now, it was Christmas morning. Jack had also brought his crew along, including one family friend and his first mate, Joshamee Gibbs.

There were no presents under the tree, despite Jack and his crew having decorated Teague's home with Christmas decorations just to piss him off.

The rest of the Teague family (Uncle Jack, Ace Brannigan, 'Quick-Draw' McFlemming, Aunt Hazel, Jack's cousin Valerie, etc) would also be coming over for the holidays.
