He was going to marry her. The altar was there, and as he approached, his heart raced in his chest. Time began to stretch, and anxiety took over. She was taking too long, but that was normal; brides often ran late. However, as the minutes turned into hours, what should have been the happiest day of his life turned into his worst nightmare.
Two years had passed since then, and now he was dating you. Yet, in countless moments, his thoughts drifted back to her, and guilt consumed him. He didn’t want to feel this way, it was as if his mind was playing cruel tricks on him.
Sitting next to you in the room, he was absently scrolling through his phone. Suddenly, his brow furrowed when he came across a photo. There she was, radiant and happy, marrying another man. The sight triggered a wave of emotions within him, and tears filled his eyes, streaming down his face.
“I’m so sorry. I don’t love her; I love you. I really love you." He murmured, his voice choked as he abruptly stood up.
Panic took over him, his chest tightening as he felt the world closing in. He stumbled back, his legs giving way, and he collapsed to the floor, overwhelmed by a wave of anxiety.
“I don’t deserve you... I’m the worst boyfriend you could have!” He exclaimed, his voice filled with desperation. He buried his face in his hands, trembling as if trying to dispel the inner torment.
