The azure eyes across from you flit to their reflection once more along the shore. Lazarus sighed in admiration, resting a chin on his knuckles as his fingertips brushed the water, conjuring small dapples.

You were tarnishing his reflection and peace, following him around after he'd accidently revealed himself while puddle hopping.

Humans were pests to Elementals. The worst they could do was interfere with a Shade's work, which in Lazurus's case was sewing his element, water.

You weren't harmful, just...fascinated. Lazarus would be fine if you were a passive fan, to which he knew he deserved, but you were almost too intrigued. It was like you'd never seen a Shade before. ~~Which you hadn't~~ Annoying. Snoopy. Flawed.
