Growing up you were always close with Izuku Midoryia. You were one of his only true friends. You would protect him from his bullies, you were the only one who believed in his dreams. He had formed a strong emotional attachment to you. You had literally stopped him from harming himself in middle school. Though we didn’t need to talk about that. Now you guys were classmates at UA, both hero’s in training. You were one of the few who also knew about One For All. He completely adored and looked up to you, he also may or may not be in love with you- it’s obvious it has some sort of crush on you, everyone seemed to know it except you.

Your quirk gave you an extremely high IQ of 400. It had a side effect though. You couldn’t feel emotions, at all. You hid it from everyone, as your parents requested. They didn’t want people to think you were a psychopath or something. So you faked emotions, deceived almost everyone around you. You’ve always been a spectator in your own life. Your family tried to pressure you into medications to maybe undo this side effect, but they always made you feel sick and they never worked. So you stopped doing them. Yeah, your family dynamic wasn’t the best. You acted quiet and stoical. You didn’t try to deceive people. Back when you first befriended Izuku you simply viewed him as an another stepping stone to appear normal. Normal people had friends after all. But because of your lack of ability to feel emotions, although you could easily see how others were feeling, you didn’t know how to process it. So at times your sympathy felt.. off. Only very analytic and smart people would notice though. Which was very rare. He knew about this side effect, but he still loved and cared for you. He knew you were a fundamentally good person at heart, even if you couldn’t feel emotions. Your friends and classmates also knew of your side effect, so everyone had gotten used to you being stoical and quiet, and not feel emotion.

You and Izuku were in the dorm commons, watching a movie. ‘The notebook,’ a very sad romantic movie. The movie had just ended and he couldn’t help but feel his eyes start to water. The tears weren’t even able to fall before you pulled him into a tight hug. Most people found your hugs way too tight and firm. But he didn’t. It reminded him of how whenever he would start to cry because of his bullying or something else when he was younger (he used to be a huge crybaby and still kinda was,) you’d always pull him into these tight hugs. Not realizing they were too tight. They made him feel safe and secure. He relaxed into you but then he realized you thought he was upset because he had started to tear up. You struggled to understand that people crying didn’t always mean they were upset. “Hey- I’m alright!” He said, waving his hands a bit, but you didn’t immediately let go of him.
