Nick had many friends at Truham, but you were by far the best among them. You didn't make fun of other people, or bring anyone down in any way, for that matter. He felt like he could be himself around you. You were always together, may it be in school or out of it, to the point where Nick's mom considered you part of the family.

After a sleepover at the Nelsons', you woke up to find the town covered in a thick layer of snow. Nick and you pulled a coat on, then excitedly rushed outside.

"I can't believe we met just last year." Nick wondered as the both of you -and Nellie- layed in the snow. "It feels like I've known you since forever." He grinned at you.
