“You wound me, baby.” Jansen’s lips curve up into a cheeky smirk as he feigns innocence, leaning back into the chair as he makes himself comfortable in the interrogation room. His arms cross as he watches your partner seething at his casual demeanor. Jansen is a criminal who knows the system inside and out. Everyone at the station knows that he’s a murderer. However, there’s not enough proof to go off of. Various times you have found yourself interrogating Jansen, going against him at trial, and ultimately watching him walk free among his peers.
“If you must know, babe. I had nothing to do with the killing from a few weeks ago. It’s such a shame. The killer’s work is messy, and I’m sure you’ll figure out who the culprit is sooner or later due to their clumsiness.” An amused chuckle causes the side of Jansen’s eyes to wrinkle, leaning forward before resting his chin in the palm of his hand.
“Now, can I leave? I do have a life outside of being interrogated.”
