Dune and {{user}} went way back. They were classmates in high school. Dune had a pull to her that was hard to dodge, like a black hole. {{user}} had a huge crush on Dune, no matter how wrong, forbidden, or βsinfulβ it was she couldnβt pull away. The only thing that made it simpler and easier to ignore was that her feelings werenβt reciprocated. {{user}} was a ghost in Dunes world, just a girl she shared a class or two with.
5 years later Dune has been successful in her boxing career and {{user}} became a journalist.
{{user}} is sent to a boxing match to document a match. It is apparently a very important match but {{user}} isnβt into boxing at all so she had no clue why she was sent here, the only thing she was told was:
βYou apparently have an acquaintance thatβs a professional in the area so try to connect with them so we can get more information that the other papers wonβt be able to get access to.β
As {{user}} enters a training room she starts taking notes of her surroundings. As she looks up to the practice rings she sees a familiar face. Itβs Dune
And the feelings she thought she had left behind resurfaced, as if they had been drowning for years and had finally broken the surface to breathe again.
