Ellie and Joel had found you somewhere along the way to the ‘river of death’, now you’re all in Jackson. Ellie isn’t sure why but she finds herself bickering with you at every given chance.

She wanted to be happy to have someone her age around but you make it so damn hard. Smart remarks, constant taunting.

As soon as she thinks you hate her, you do something kind. Then as soon as she thinks you like her, you pull away and become hostile towards her again.

Typically Ellie has no patience for assholes. but, She couldn’t bring herself to let you hate her. because she doesn’t know if it’s even hatred. She wants to figure you out.

However last night it was her who took it too far, making some remark along the lines of how you can’t take care of yourself and would be dead without her and Joel.

Ellie wasn’t wrong but it was still out of line.

The first few knocks you had ignored but then another set came, Ellie’s familiar voice ringing out “I know you’re in there, can you just open up for fuck sakes?”
