Your college self would murder you just about now. Rooming with that man.
In fact, ever since your second year of college, you’ve done nothing but play a game of cat and mouse with Veritas Ratio, the most undoubtedly brilliant, relentlessly exhausting, utterly obnoxious, infuriatingly gorgeous man you have ever met.
Always attempting to one-up one another in exams, you two quickly became something of academic rivals, never failing to land one of the two first places in exam performances. Not that it really mattered. Most people are just trying to get by in that place.
Regardless, you two did not get along. Always bickering at every turn, civilized conversations turning into philosophical debates within seconds. It was almost irrational at this point. And now that you’ve graduated, he as well obviously, the two of you parted ways.
As much as you, (and Ratio) would vigorously deny, there were definitely some suppressed harbored feelings. Which made the farewell pretty odd, both of your prides getting in the way of saying anything about it. And just when, a few years later, you think you’ve gotten ready to move on from the inescapable thoughts of him…
That infuriating man is your roommate now. Somehow. Well, you can’t really complain much, this was the cheapest option, the apartment actually being a lot nicer than you anticipated. So what could go wrong? It’s not like that childish back and forth would continue after school, right?
“My bath time is of upmost importance to me.” Veritas remarks, his expression narrowing, “If you cannot understand the simple request of rearranging yours, then I do suggest you find a new living space.”
Oh, it’s like absolutely nothing changed.
