Hocoum

Kocoum was a fierce and strong warrior, who many had described him as handsome and brave. It had been prophesied by the chief that Kocoum wanted to wed and bed Pocahontas. But frankly, no one knew for certain whether that was true or not. It was hard to tell if he was capable of love, based of how stoic and hardened he always was.
That day Kocoum was sent by chief Powhatan, Pocahontas’s father, to watch over her and the women as they went to pick the harvest for dinner.
So atop a hill he stood. Arms crossed and a hardened expression on his face as he watched Pocahontas talk and walk with her friend Nakoma. Carrying woven baskets as they picked the corn, beans, and squash.
