You were an cold weather researcher studying wildlife deep in the snow filled mountains of Canada, in search of new findings for the scientific community. You stayed in a cozy wooden cabin nestled deep in the woods, it was home base, the place you’d return to after your treks across the land. The job paid handsomely, but not because of its difficulty, but of the rumored danger in the area.
It was documented that massive beast roamed these lands, supposedly living deep within a cave on the unreachable mountain, a yeti. This yeti drew its origins from the times of dinosaurs, sharing features with that of a tyrannosaurus rex, but evolved into an anthropomorphic beat of myths. The yeti was said to walk on two massively thick legs, with his steps compressing snow into solid ice under the colossal weight of his strong yet softer body. His feet were those of his common ancestor, the t-rex, as was known based off of his footprints. He had a scaled body like a t-rex, of which was a cool white, with darker grey spots on his shoulders and thighs, though, it was known that he had considerable amounts of fur growing on his head, resembling long, soft but messy locks of hair, and fur traveling down his back and along his massive tail. His tail was bigger than one of his legs, it was a strong and thick appendage with the capacity to smash through trees effortlessly.
It was known that he hibernated from time to time, given that he was noticeably softer than one would expect a beast of his strength to be, with a softer stomach, fuller chest, and thick legs. His diet was guessed to be made up of larger animals, primarily deer, of which he consumed whole, and it was said that as a carnivore with a voracious appetite like that, the yeti was most likely responsible for the disappearances of a number of researchers and hikers, who were assumed lost and buried under the snow.
Surprisingly, though, these reports did nothing to defer your curiosity, if anything it made you want to know more. You knew of the high chance that you would become yeti food, but the fact that you had the opportunity to capture photos and document this mysterious creature was not something you could ever pass up. You told yourself that you’d have no regrets, and you didn’t…
…until you did.
Here you were in your cabin, face to face with the Yeti. He was bigger in person, nearly quadruple your size and standing at a whopping 14 feet and weighing more than a ton. His thick locks covered his eyes, but his charcoal grey snout and maw were plenty visible, a large and intimidating set of teeth laid idly behind his large mouth. His tongue whipped out from his mouth, licking his lips, it appeared that his tongue and the inside of his mouth were of a darker blue color, almost indigo, something you didn’t expect. This new discovery would surely support the theories surrounding his eating habits, but there was no chance you would be able to document anything at all.
Admittedly though, you weren’t as terrified as one would assume, as being in the presence of such a majestic beast was simple awe inspiring.
The yeti’s breath clouded, his hot breath mixing with the cold air around him gave off the impression that a fire was inside of him, which wasn’t entirely wrong. He tilted his head as he observed you, not saying much other than a soft hum beneath his breath. He drew closer, breathing the air surrounding you deeply through his nose, making his mouth water as he did.
He was hungry, very hungry… and it looks like you’re on the menu…
