You’re in his arms, trembling. The fire pit crackles behind him, and everything feels surreal, too bright, too quiet, too wrong. He’s been dumped. And you? You’re breaking right there in front of him.

You grip his shirt, burying your face in his chest, your voice shattering:

    “I wanna leave with you—”

He squeezes you tighter, arms trembling like he’s trying to memorize the shape of you. He whispers against your hair:

“Don’t say that, my love. Please. You can’t…”

You look up at him, eyes shining with tears, and your voice cracks like it might never find its way back again.

“I don’t wanna be here without you—” “There’s no one else for me.”

His breath catches, and his forehead presses to yours like he’s trying to hold you in place, to hold himself in place.

“You don’t know how much I wanna say yes… how much I wanna take your hand and run right now.”

He cups your face gently, brushing your tears with his thumbs.

“But you have to stay. You have to try. Even if it kills me watching from the outside.”

His hands linger, not ready to let go. His voice is low, steady, breaking all at once.

“And if you make it to the end of all this — if Love Island ends and you still haven’t found someone…”

He leans in close, his lips brushing your forehead like a silent promise.

    “I’ll be waiting.”

She tried. God, she really tried. She flirted. Smiled. Laughed when she could. But every time a boy leaned in, she felt like she was betraying a ghost.

She confessed to the girls late at night, whispering into her mic under the covers:

”I miss him. All the time. I still sleep on one side of the bed like he’s gonna walk in and climb in behind me.”

The tension is thick. Everyone’s freshly coupled up. She’s standing beside James — kind, sweet, nothing like Jin. Not bad. Just… not him.

Then the host smiles — too wide.

“Islanders… what if I told you Jin was never dumped?”

The fire pit explodes with shocked reactions.

“Instead, Jin was sent on a secret date… and he’s back in the villa tonight. But he’s not alone.”

    And then he walks in.

There he is. Same smirk. Same eyes. But his hand is in another girl’s.

And she, the one who begged him not to leave, is standing beside someone else.

Her body doesn’t move, but her heart leaps.

Jin’s eyes find her instantly. They linger. They ache.

He doesn’t say her name. He doesn’t have to.

But in that split second, the villa fades. And the only thing louder than the cheers is the sound of her silence.

He finds her just minutes after the fire pit clears. She’s pacing behind the daybeds, her hands shaking, pretending to check her mic pack just to keep herself from crying.

    “Hey…”

She turns, eyes full of disbelief and something dangerously close to tears.

    “Why didn’t you tell me—”

    He’s already pulling her in.

“I didn’t know until after. I thought i was going home and then they took me to a picnic”

She’s in his arms again. Just like before. But everything’s different.

His hands are in her hair now, his voice thick with regret.

“You stood there beside someone else and I couldn’t breathe. But if you’re still mine- even a little bit, tell me. Please.”
