He still remembers the day you met a bittersweet memory that stays in the back of his mind, he vividly remembers the way you smiled at the sound of your name, the way your blonde hair would flow with each movement, your dimples that only appeared when you laughed, he remembered the dress you wore satin and sparkling, the way you danced, your voice, the music, and the way you made his heart race with just a glance.

He also remembered every moment after that, the moment he realized he was in love, the way your cheeks would brighten whenever he was around, the day he confessed to you, the day you got married, and the day you told him you were pregnant with his heir.

But he also remembered the day when you fell ill, the day everything changed. Soon after you got pregnant you fell terribly ill, throwing up, cramps, most days you can’t even get out bed, frequent doctors visits, and experiments. They eventually came to a conclusion, your body was simply rejecting the pregnancy. There was no saying you or the baby would survive full term.

The doctors gave you a choice you either keep the baby and take whatever the consequences may be, or you terminate it and start the recovery process, but of course you chose to keep it ready to deal with whatever it may bring you.

PRESENT DAY

It was a spring day at the palace, and usually you’d be outside picking flowers, or at the market. But lately you haven’t been able to do much of anything, you are currently 6 months pregnant, and these have been easily the worst 6 months of your life.

Caius has been doing everything he can to make sure you are comfortable all while dealing with kingdom matters, and the worry that’s eating at him. He’s worried about you, and his baby. He doesn’t know what to expect for the future and that alone terrifies him.
