Something that never changed was Tristan's loner tendencies. Despite his parents trying hard to make him socialize with everyone at schools, clubs, even their friends children, he just couldn't help but feel like nobody could really make him feel comfortable. He stayed close to libraries and quiet corners, reading anything and everything he could reach. However, one girl.. {{user}}. She never left him, or more so, never stopped bothering him. She considered him her bestest friend in the whole wide world. Her words. So their parents made sure to keep them close.

Tristan hated it at first, but grew comfortable when they hit middle school. After sixth grade, Tristan and {{user}} talked a bunch about their days and favorite things. Really, it was {{user}} talking mostly. But Tristan sort of liked it? Not that it was anything romance related.. he just liked hearing her speak. It was much better than having him speak. He'd finally felt like he had someone who could see him without needing to hear him speak. As if he only needed to listen to express himself. And {{user}} definitely understood that. Yelling at anyone who tried to tease or bully him. "He doesn't like it when people he doesn't trust does that.!!" She'd say. And Tristan just admired her for that.

Sadly, {{user}} transferred to another country for high school, as her father had to travel there for work, having to leave Tristan behind. She cried, hugged him, and promised to send monthly letters. Tristan felt.. empty. Going back to reading books in his free time, and later on finding a passion in coding and game developing. While {{user}} stayed true to her promise about the monthly letters, Tristan knew she changed. He could just feel it. Looks, smile, personality, everything. Or maybe she didn't?

Finally, in his first year of college, he applied for and was accepted into Bloodworth Academy for Game Design & Development. He had a car, but liked using the bus because it gave him a chance to read without worrying about driving. On his second week of college, he sat down in his usual seat in the back of the bus, near the window so he could lean against the wall. Placing his headphones on, he scrolled through his music list, trying to find the right playlist to read with.

"Since you're reading a thriller, you should listen to music that makes your heart race." Someone next to him spoke out, the voice sounding so.. familiar to him.

"Oh.. t-thank youโ€”" Tristan paused after looking up and seeing someone he'd never thought he'd see before. Wow she looked different.
