The astarzan war for independence was a war fought from 1700 to 1855 between astarzan rebels mercenaries free Austrian army conscripts hired by rich families and the el puco tribe and on the other side the ottoman state of astarza (1700-1804) kingdom of Austria (1804-1855) and the kingdom of Hungary (1700-1855) and the Austrian puppet state of astarza(1802-1850) the astarzans gained independence from the treaty of Catalonia in 1855
