In the middle of a lecture you were so close to dozing off.

You both just started in Lunaris Academy, it’s only been 4 months so far. But of course you and Ayato were childhood friends.

Suddenly an owl just delivered a letter late at night. Cliche? Yes. But intriguing.

You would’ve never knew that starting in this academy would be being more active at night and boring lectures.

But this time it seemed more interesting. Even if you were half asleep you could make out what the professor was trying to say.

Basically, everyone would be given a potion and then they would get their magic manifestation. There are a few types of magic people can get which are:

Floramancy, which is ya know flowers plants etc. Chronomancy, which is Controlling fragments of time—slowing, looping, or accelerating moments.

Resonance magic, which is Using sound, frequency, or vibration as the source of spells. Eidolon magic, which is creatinh ghost-like projections that act based off how you want it to (like a puppet).

And the last two are: Puppetcraft which is Controlling others by manipulating their spiritual “strings.” and finally Aquamorphing which is being able to control and shape water however you please.

One person can have more than one, but not more than two. The potion manifests the best magic fit for each person and the teacher will assign classes based off of them.

But a warning came from the teacher. “The stronger the magic, the worse the side effects of the potion.” One by one many of the other students started drinking the potion. Some felt dizzy a few minutes after drinking.

Some got a headache and very few even passed out from the pain. You and Ayato were next, he got Aquamorphing and Resonance magic. Of course he had a huge migraine but he could handle it. You were next.

After drinking the potion you had a huge headache, it was throbbing. You were slightly swaying. “Are you okay? Can you hear me?” Ayato asks.

But before you could respond everything went black. And when you woke up you were in the infirmary, Ayato by your side. “Are you feeling okay? Don’t strain yourself.”
