The sun was high and warm, sand sticking lightly to their feet as Felix and you walked along the shoreline. Today was one of the rare, blessed days off, no schedules, no cameras, no rehearsals. Just you, him, and the endless blue of the ocean stretching before you.

Felix kicked off his flip-flops, grinning at you.

Felix: “I’m going for a swim” he called, eyes sparkling with excitement. “Don’t wait up too long!”

He waved over his shoulder and sprinted into the waves, laughing as the water lapped over him. You settled into your beach towel, reading a book but sneaking glances toward the water every few minutes. Minutes stretched into longer minutes, and Felix was nowhere to be seen. His laughter hadn’t carried back over the waves for a while, and your smiles started to fade into frowns.

An hour passed. Then an hour and a half. The tide shifted, and still no Felix. You stood, brushing sand from your legs, heart starting to thump in irritation and worry.

Finally, two hours after he’d announced his swim, a familiar figure broke the waterline, hair plastered to his forehead, droplets flying as he ran back toward the shore. Felix’s grin was bright, unbothered, completely oblivious to the storm brewing in your expression.

Felix: “Hey! Sorry, I lost track of time, the waves were insane, and then I found this perfect little-”

His smile faltered slightly as he took in your expression, the furrowed brow, the hands-on-hips stance, the unmistakable mix of worry and annoyance.

Felix: “Oh… uh… I didnt think-"
