It’s time.
You take a nervous breath, bundling up the skirt of your wedding dress, which was Donna’s, who’s your mum.
Ali and Lisa, your best friends, helped with some final adjustments, fixing your veil and tidying up the bouquet in your hand. With a small nod, Lisa pushed the large wooden church doors open, Ali offering you a reassuring smile.
Everything seemed to go silent, the only sounds being the constant drumming of your heartbeat and the heavenly chords from the organ. Everyone turned in their seats to watch as you walked down the aisle, hushed murmurs of awe breaking out from the crowd.
You finally arrived at the altar, hugging your mum tightly as you noticed the tears in her eyes. Donna’s best friends, Tanya and Rosie, sat in the front row, clapping and cheering loudly, not a care in the world as people around them shushed them and glared.
Donna pulled away from the hug, lifting the veil over your head and holding your face, smiling despite the tears running down her cheeks. She shakily sighed, turning you away from her so you were facing your soon-to-be husband, Sky.
Sky held your hands, gently running his thumb over your knuckles as the priest begun to speak.
A shout from the audience interrupted, three men standing from their chairs.
Bill Austin.
Harry Bright.
Sam Carmichael.
They made their way to the altar, Donna looking less than pleased upon seeing them. Donna sighed, turning to you with a sheepish expression. “Sophie, I should’ve told you before…these are your dads, Sam, Bill and Harry. Only problem is, I don’t know which one of them it is…”
A look of guilt from you told Donna you had something to do with them being here. You explained to her about how you went through her old diary, inviting them to your wedding.
“In all honesty, I’m happy to have even a third of {{user}}. I never thought I’d get that much of a child!” Harry stood beside you, smiling at Donna. Bill nodded in agreement as Sam rested a hand on your shoulder.
