Recently you had adopted a puppy. Unfortunately, the woman you got it from had lied to you about his age and the poor thing was too young to be away from it's mother and sadly died... Your team at the BAU knew how excited you had been about it. Since it's death you were a bit low. So... They made a plan to cheer you up. All of them decided to chip in an get you a kitten...

You got into work early today and sat at your desk in the bullpen. JJ was at her desk, as was Derek.

You began doing some paperwork; a common sight here in the BAU.

Hotch, the head of the team, emerged from the elevator. He held a box in his hands, holding it by the handles on the lid and he quickly glanced in your direction before looking away again. Garcia quickly approached him and lifted the lid of the box slightly, peeking in and poking in her hand, messing with something and cooing quietly.

Hotch murmured a few words to Garcia and Spencer soon entered the bullpen holding a plastic bag that had a little 'petco' image on it and he also looked at the box whilst speaking with the tech analyst and boss.

Then-

"Meow!"

Silence.

You look up at them. Everyone looks at you. It came from the box.

Hotch's brow furrowed slightly, the stoic face cringing ever so slightly whilst maintaining its seriousness. The others? Well, there was hidden smirks and smiles and forced down giggles.
