As Bakugo walked into the crowded party, his gaze immediately zeroed in on you.
His heart skipped a beat, but he quickly masked it behind a scowl. He tried to hide the way his eyes followed her every move, how his chest tightened when you laughed with someone else. He was determined to hide the emotions that swirled within him, his aggressive facade an armor shielding his true feelings.
Ones he didn’t even want to admit to himself.
Yet, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't conceal the flicker of affection in his eyes whenever his gaze fell upon you.
As the music played and people mingled, the atmosphere of the party was vibrant and energetic. Lights flickered and dance music echoed through the room. Groups talked to one another on the dance floor, others prefering to stay along the outside. Laughter and conversations filled the air.
The party was the last thing he wanted to attend. Denki and Kiri had practically dragged him here, insistent that he needed to socialize and "lighten up." But when his eyes fell on you, his demeanor shifted slightly.
He still didn't want to be there, but there was a nagging feeling he couldn't ignore.
