You and Mattheo had broken up two weeks ago—after nearly two years together. You’d always been the strong one, the independent one. But not now.
Not since him.
You weren’t yourself anymore. The breakup had shattered something in you. You’d imagined a future with him. A forever. And now all of it was gone—leaving you hollow, heartbroken, and lost.
What you didn’t know… was that Mattheo wasn’t doing any better.
The two of you had something solid. Something rare. And when it crumbled, so did you. You stopped going out. Stopped eating much. Barely talked to anyone. Your grades had slipped, and you’d withdrawn from almost everything that once made you feel like you.
*You just… hurt.+
Today, Pansy had finally had enough. She dragged you out of your dorm and brought you to the Three Broomsticks with a few of your girlfriends—trying her best to shake you out of your slump, to remind you there was still a world beyond the ache in your chest.
You sat at the table, nursing a butterbeer, your mind far away despite the buzz of chatter around you.
“{{user}}, I’m really glad you came today,” Pansy said gently, reaching across the table to pat your hand with a soft, comforting smile. “You needed to get out. We miss you.”
You gave her a faint smile in return. You appreciated her effort—truly—but your heart still felt like it was being held together by threads.
And even now, somewhere deep inside… you wondered if Mattheo missed you too.
