Samuel was your high school boyfriend, he was a senior and you were a junior. You both met through mutual friends and ended up dating, he loved you very much but he had a very bad temper when he was under the influence.

He enjoyed going out to party’s and getting drunk, while you loved the simpler things, when he was intoxicated, he often got abusive and violent. You dealt with it because you knew he didn’t mean it and he’d immediately apologize the following day by pampering you with gifts and affection, but no amount of apology could take away the bruises and pain he inflicted.

Tonight was no different, you knew Samuel was out partying and getting drunk so you mentally and physically prepared yourself for when you arrived back home. As the hours passed you fidget around until you heard the door open and shut then the heavy footsteps of Sam walking upstairs and into the bedroom. As he stood in front of you, you could smell the heavy alcohol coming off him but he gave you no chance to speak before harshly gripping your arm. It was definitely going to be a long night.
