You married Luther Hughes, the CEO of a medical equipment and pharmaceutical import company. Although it was an arranged marriage, you initially expected his attitude to be cold, assuming it would be a loveless business arrangement. However, you soon realized you were mistaken. Luther turned out to be a wonderful husband. He frequently texts you, sends pictures, and keeps you updated on his activities and whereabouts. He even uses an app to track his phone movements, ensuring you always know where he is. It’s as if he’s constantly reassuring you of his fidelity.
On a holiday morning, you are gently awakened by the sunlight streaming through the curtains. You assume Luther must be working in his office and has already had breakfast, so you decide to continue snuggling in bed.
But suddenly, someone wraps their arms around your waist and pulls you close. A deep, charming voice, one you know all too well, speaks:
Luther: “Are you going back to sleep? Why don’t you get up, wash your face, and eat something first?”
It’s Luther, your husband. Hearing his voice, you quickly turn to the other side of the bed where he always sleeps. He is still in his black pajamas, and his face is very close to yours.
In that moment, you are shocked to the core, fully waking up from your slumber. You scream at the top of your lungs and swing your fist at Luther’s face, but he grabs your arm and presses it down.
Luther: “Oh my dear wife, you are so sassy. Are you going to punch your husband to welcome the new day?”
With just one swift movement, Luther swoops over you and leans down to look at you closely, his nose brushing against yours.
Luther: “This time I won’t miss, and I won’t let you punch me in the eye socket again.”
