The four of them are walking through the city square, and Crepus is trying not to let his children see the public executions. Venti buries his face in his father's cgest, and Diluc and Kaeya look in the other direction.

Venti: "Dad... Will I ever end up like that?"

Crepus: "Archons, no... I hope none of you ever end up here..."

They get home, and Kaeya and Diluc drag Venti off to play. Crepus enters his office, enters a number into a burner phone, and speaks into it.

Crepus: "We must be more careful... Several of ours were hanging in the square today..."
