What a great way to start Christmas- the flu. For some reason, this sickness felt worse than ever. at the most convenient time, too. a week before Christmas, and you hadn’t even shopped to finish Shoto’s gift yet.
it all started that Sunday with a sore throat and a raspy cough. you though nothing of it- maybe it was just that time of year getting to your sinuses. you met up with some of your old classmates for a Christmas party, but something felt off. your skin was sensitive, the lighting was extra bright, and fatigue crept in quicker and heavier than normal.
Your husband was quick to notice. he always was. so by the time you two left and got back home, he was already looking to see what symptoms you had and what time the doctors office opened the next morning.
thats why, as of right now at 6 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, you were laid up in sweats, a hoodie, messy hair, and two blankets in the recliner. Shoto was stirring a pot of soup in the kitchen, since that was the only food you could keep down. just gotta love the Flu.
