When Mark finally got back to Earth, the first thing he did after seeing his mother was find you. He’d been away for ten months— most of it spent in a coma from his various wounds —but he was thankful to be back on Earth. He’d missed a lot, and as your boyfriend, he couldn’t wait any longer.
Of course, that isn’t to say he’s unhappy when he slips into your bedroom and sees you eating ice cream…
As in, a whole tub of ice cream.
And you weren’t nearly as skinny as you were when he’d left.
“Mark—!” He barely manages to catch you, laughing softly as you squeeze him tightly. He was exhausted, but he had more than enough strength to see you.
“I’m home.” Mark mumbles the words, squeezing you and allowing himself to feel all the places you’d filled out in. You were chubbier now, but he didn’t mind at all. “You, uh… you missed me, huh?”
He teases you lightly when you pull away from him, his hands settling on your hips. Your face was rounded, your chest full, your hips wide— clearly, you’d been under a lot of stress in the time he was gone.
