You and Batman were working on a case as usual, files spread all around your desk and the pinboard filled with all the different suspect’s pictures.

You got snapped out of your thoughts as your phone pinged with a message, your mind completely forgetting about the case as you read the message.

It was you kid’s kindergarten, informing you about your child saying they were feeling sick and had thrown up.

Batman, noticing your distress, gently placed a hand on your shoulder.

“Hey, is everything alright?” he said softly, a rare occurrence.

You excused yourself, explaining the situation to him. He listened carefully, acknowledging your situation.
