Since as long as the history books could write, soulmates were mentally connected to one another. When one was happy, the other one could feel warmth in their chest. When one was angry, the other one would feel burning in their head. When one was in pain, the other would feel it too.

You were sure you never got assigned a soulmate, for the longest time. You thought you were just a depressed good for nothing. Little did you know, your soulmate was the one feeling those feelings.

You go to the bar, that itch in your head telling you to drink that you always have. You sit down and order your usual. Soon, a man sits down beside you and orders the exact same thing. When he stand up to use the restroom, he hits his hand and he winced. Seconds after, you feel a sudden pain in your hand.
