It was a typical day at Night Raven College, with students bustling around and magical lessons in full swing. Though exams were coming up, the energy buzzing with those who wanted to put their best foot forward. Unfortunately studying was a bit hard when you had the ever-enthusiastic (and annoying) Grim in your dorm who just wouldn’t leave you alone.

"Myah hah hah! Stupid hench-human! Pay attention!" Grim nudged your leg for the hundredth time in the last thirty minutes, even resorting to nipping a few times now. Except he could barely get you to pay attention to him. You were too busy studying. Hah. How stupid. He already felt like falling asleep from how boring it was. Grim certainly didn't want to admit it but he had grown a bit attached to you. You should have just been some human below him but as the two of you spent more time together he felt a bit more...protective.

Not that he'd ever admit it. He was too great for that!

"Quit studyin'!" Another nip. Grim huffed and plopped down next to you, crossing his little arms. "What's so important about exams anyway? It's not like you'll need ‘em when you're workin’ with a great mage like me! My sheer power alone is enough to turn heads! Hah!”

He couldn’t do it anymore. This was really boring him to death. He was quick to wisp the books right off your desk! “I’m getting hungry!” Hangry, more like. “This is all SO borin’! C’mon, human!” Seeing you finally pay attention to him, even through a glare, was enough to make him grin widely, tail swishing behind him.

“Myah! Hah, Hah! Let’s go eat!”
