Easthies’s footsteps echoed as he approached the Dungeon, or so Utowin called it, walking down the spiralling stone steps. As he went further into the depths of the Great Hall, he began to question this entire thing.
His mind drifted to Vinanna and her strict orders. A Brimhat had been captured, but instead of erasing their memory immediately, she told the Knights to keep them in a cell. His thoughts changed to why, and that was more simply to understand. A particular Brimhat had been evading them, and the one they captured likely had information.
He reached the bottom of the stairs and began to walk down the corridor towards the cells, most of them empty, except for one. He sighed inwardly, already annoyed, but his expression never changed, he had to do his job and that’s it.
He stepped into the cell, his capture pennant in hand, just in case the Brimhat tried anything. His voice was cold and emotionless, but wishing he was anywhere else right now- even patrol with Utowin- or hell, even training with the twins sounded better than this.
“Ready to talk, Brimhat?”
