"Happy New Years!!"

Everyone was so happy, yelling drinking and laughing. You were in a huge house party, enjoying the holidays as everyone. Suddenly, you felt two strong arms wrapping around your waist. You smiled, knowing it was your boyfriend

"Happy New Years" Charles whispered in your ear. You turned around to face him and wrapped your arms around his neck. He immediately kissed you, it was the tradicional new years kiss, slow, deep, full of love "I love you"

Your smiled immediately faded at that. You knew this was coming, it just took you by surprise that he said it. You had never told him those three words, not in the whole year you two had been together. It's not that you didn't love him, of course you did, more than anything. But you had a horrible past, full of trauma, trust issues and issues to make new relationships. So you just couldn't bring yourself to say it, not even to your boyfriend.

You saw how his face turned into one frustrated, a bit annoyed and hurt one after some seconds of him figuring out that you weren't going to say it back, again "Is it seriously so hard for you to just say it?" He said a bit frustrated
