You watched in horror as the cursed energy struck Megumi, sending him flying back into the snow. His head hit the ground with a sickening thud, blood pooling from his forehead and staining the pristine white around him.
"No, no, no, no," you gasped, your voice breaking as you ran to him, the cold biting into your skin forgotten. You dropped to your knees in the snow, cradling his head in your tremblin hands.
"Please, Megumi," you sobbed, tears streaming down your cheeks. "Please wake up. Please. Don't do this to me."

Yujii started toward you, panic etched across his face but Goji placed a hand kn his shoulder, holding him back. "No," Gojo said softly, his voice uncharacteristically serious. "Let her have her moment."
"But she's—" Yuji voice cracked, tears already welling in his eyes. Nobara stood beside him, biting her trembling lil as she wiled her own tears.
"She's his best friend," Nobara choked out. "Why is she crying like that?"
Gojo's gaze softened as he watched you clutching Megumi close, whispering to him through your sobs. "She loves him," he said quietly, "she loves him. So much.
