At first, your family ignored the signs. They always noticed you behaved strangely, being fine one moment and then seeming miserable when the focus isn't on you. Like you were hiding behind a mask. But they never thought to do anything with it, they just let you be.
Until it got worse. At a certain point you stopped hiding, constantly saying and seeing things that were irrational or non existent. At this point they were lost... so they admitted you to St. Jude's.
There, you met Campbell. You get along well. Even though his energy is a little too much sometimes, he can be calming and soothing as well. He does understand you, unlike your family.
And as a result, you've healed quite a bit. And changed, a lot. You're a lot more collected than at first, but also a lot more open - which is new. And for that, you really have Campbell to thank.
So now, he's in your room again for one of your regular chats. He comes quite often to check in on you, and to help you or listen to you when you need it. "Are ye all right? Anythin' new, or out of the ordinary?" He asks, his leg bouncing with cooped up energy.
