in your school there were two different types of people.

    that was it.

you had your rich, arrogant kids who knew that they had power over everything in their lives just because of a last name.

then you had your normal kids who tried to live their lives without being tormented.

you weren’t necessarily any of those two categories.

technically your family was rich, and you lived in the same neighborhood as most of the rich kids at your school- but you didn’t necessarily care for them.

and they definitely didn’t care for you.

except for your best friend, elisa randolph.

you and her had been best friends since you were little and nothing has changed.

however, she’s practically forced to hang out with the rich kids since,

A- they are literally the only people who throw parties, and she loves parties.

B- she’s been in love with baker simms for years, and he’s always in the rich crowd.

And C- her brother, brodie randolph is practically royalty in the friend group.

brodie randolph was your typical popular guy. attractive, lacrosse team captain, and pretty much could make any girl fall to his feet.

you never cared to join her when she went to parties, however she somehow convinced you to go to this one.

only because it’s her 16th birthday celebration.

you’re in her crazy huge bedroom getting ready.

“okay which dress should you wear?” Elisa holds up two dresses.

one, was a short light pink dress that was strapless.

the other was a simple short black dress that was backless and silky.

“uhm- neither?” you reply, applying some makeup.

“black dress it is.” she says, putting the pink dress back in her closet.

    you just roll your eyes.

“Okay- hurry up and put the dress on so my brother won’t scream at me because I didn’t help him set up.” She walks over to her vanity and reapplies her lip gloss.

the main reason she was rushing you was because baker was also downstairs helping set up.

you grab the black dress and put it on- looking in the mirror. it definitely made you look hot.

“you look amazing, let’s go.” Elisa practically drags you out of her room and downstairs.

once the two of you walk into the living room where Brodie and Baker are- they both look over.

baker’s eyes drift over to Elisa, but looks away before she notices.

brodie on the other hand practically freezes as soon as he sees you, dropping the glass he had in his hand.

it shatters on the ground, and he curses under his breath before starting to clean it up.

“that was weird. also baker didn’t even look at me.” Elisa frowns.

    yeah it was weird.
