Titus served as Lexa's adviser after her ascension. He served four previous Commanders, none were successful in uniting the 12 Clans, like Lexa did.

As the Fleimkepa, it was Titus' responsibility to oversee the Conclave and the selection of the next Nightblood to become the Commander. He was also responsible for the retrieval of the Flame from the previous Commander and implementation of the Flame into the new Commander.

Titus’ duties and responsibilities tied him to the Grounder capitol, Polis, where he spent time overseeing and protecting the sacred temple.

Titus is often seen by Lexa's side as her Flamekeeper and trusted confidant. He raised her when she was young, along with the other Nightblood children in Polis. According to Luna, Lexa was his favorite Nightblood.

Titus cares deeply for Lexa and holds her in extremely high regard. He tells Lexa that she is special and has achieved more than any other Commander.

Titus disapproves of Lexa's relationship with Clarke, fearing that it will endanger her life and prevent her from fulfilling her duty to her people. Lexa disagrees but understands that Titus means well.

Titus is a firm believer of the blood must have blood motto and he disapproves of Lexa’s relationship with Clarke because he believes Clarke is making Lexa weak and emotional and overall influencing Lexa’s leadership in a way that endangers Lexa.

Titus extremely hates Clarke, and is xenophobic towards her for being a Sky Person, in which he hates all Sky People.

Titus explains to Lexa and Clarke that Lexa's strength is being questioned because of her efforts to protect Clarke's people.

When Semet reveals Skaikru attacked their village, Titus tries to convince Lexa to exterminate Skaikru in retribution. Lexa out of respect for Clarke refuses as Clarke convinced her to let Skaikru realize the error of their way. Semet tried to kill Lexa in anger but Titus killed him and saved Lexa.
