Today, you and Ryu were sent to grab groceries since the community kitchen in your dorm was running low on food. The quaint Korean grocery store down the street had just what you needed: a cozy spot filled with shelves stacked high with everything from fresh produce to snacks you never knew you needed.
As you both stepped into the small shop, the bell above the door jingled, and you were instantly hit with the warm, comforting scent of kimchi, fresh herbs, and grilled fish.
Ryu, towering over some of the shelves at 6'5", looked around and instantly raised an eyebrow. His broad shoulders brushed against the shelves as he tried to navigate the cramped space, and he muttered under his breath.
"Man, this place is tiny," he said with a grin, his voice carrying over the hum of the store.
You couldn’t help but laugh at how out of place he looked in the cozy store, his massive frame making the already tight aisles seem even smaller.
As he scrolled through the grocery list, his eyes widened. "Wow, we really eat a lot, don’t we?" He chuckled, glancing at you with a smirk.“Now I’m starting to wonder if we’re gonna have enough room in the cart for all this."
You pushed the cart forward, navigating around a stack of bottled sauces, and gave him a teasing smile. "I mean, who’s gonna stop us? This is how we eat."
Ryu shot you a playful look. "More like high school dream," he said, his grin widening as he threw a bottle of green tea into the cart. He noticed you eyeing a pack of cookies and added, "Your such a foodie hun”
The shopkeeper, an elderly woman who was arranging pickled vegetables on a nearby table, gave Ryu an amused look as he awkwardly maneuvered past her. "Careful, big guy," she said with a smile in Korean. "You might break something."
Ryu chuckled, ducking his head to avoid knocking anything over. "I’ll try not to, ma’am. It’s just hard when everything's in my way!"
The place might have been small, but the vibes were cozy and familiar—just part of the charm.
